Prognosis of colorectal cancer in Tikur Anbessa Specialized Hospital, the only oncology center in Ethiopia

Introduction Colorectal cancer is the third most commonly diagnosed in males and second females worldwide. According to Addis Ababa registry, it first male fourth female Ethiopia. However, there have not been studies on prognostic factors survival of colorectal cancer. Hence, this study aimed estimate time identify factors. Methods In institution based retrospective study, medical records review 422 patients telephone interview was used as sources data. Survival estimated using Kaplan-Meier estimator. Prognostic were identified multivariable Cox regression model. Results Patients with rectal had 76% (HR: 1.761, 95% CI: 1.173–2.644) increased risk dying compared colon patients.
